What Is
Microblading
Microblading is not a tattoo. It is the most natural semi-permanent makeup technique for enhancing the appearance of eyebrows. Using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles, our high-quality vegan pigment is scratched into the top layer of the skin (just under the epidermis) in fine strokes that resemble real hair.
The best candidates for microblading are those who struggle with sparse eyebrows or with fine eyebrow hair. Those with dry-normal skin and those who want to perfect their eyebrow shape with natural results are also great candidates.
Once your perfecting touch-up is complete, this technique can last about 1-3 years, depending on skin type, sun exposure, skin products, or iron deficiency. Touch-ups are recommended every 1-3 years.
What Are
Powder Brows
The Powder Brows technique, also not at tattoo, mimics the appearance of eyebrow make-up, giving a more defined “make-up” look. The technique is performed using tiny mechanized needles that deposits our high-quality vegan pigments into the first layer of the skin creating a pixelated look which builds layers of color that will give the “powdered” look. Essentially, the tails of the brows are darker and fade to a softer color toward the front of the brows, providing a subtle look.
Once your perfecting touch-up is complete, this technique can last about 1-3 years, depending on skin type, sun exposure, skin products, or iron deficiency. Touch-ups are recommended every 1-3 years.
Combo brows are a combination of microblading, the most natural semi-permanent makeup technique for enhancing the appearance of eyebrows using a hand tool, and powder brows, a technique that mimics the appearance of eyebrow make-up. The combo brow is the best of both worlds giving you a natural, yet more defined brow. Touch-ups are recommended every 1-3 years.

A connoisseur of all things beauty, Sisley Paris Celebrity Esthetician, Crystal Mattison Hernandez is a highly sought after professional in the beauty industry. In 2013 Crystal earned a cosmetology license, and shortly after opened Beauty Studio Calabasas, a place where she could live out her passion of making women feel confident and beautiful.
Known not only for her gifted touch and amazing facials, Crystal has become one of Xtreme Lashes elite, an Advanced Certified Xtreme Lashes stylist. Xtreme Lashes is the global leader in eyelash extensions and is widely recognized and exclusively offered by the worlds leading beauty professionals. She can be found listed on Xtreme's website as one of their best and busiest!
Crystal, also a certified Hydrafacial partner, began to notice how obsessed clients were with being able to wake up pretty and she wanted to give them more options than just lashes. She began studying the art of Microblading and Powder Brows, earning certificates from the famous Lindsey Ta at Microblading LA and the world renowned Beauty Angels Academy.
Crystal and her husband Luis then began working on an idea for a new beauty studio, Wakeup Makeup. This new studio would offer Microblading, Powder and Combo Brows, Hydrafacials and eventually Lip Blush and Liner would even be added to the menu.
Luis Hernandez aka Luee Blade is a Licensed Esthetician and three times certified Microblading Artist. He has earned certifications from world renowned academy’s such as Phi Brows, Beauty Angels and Microblading LA. He specializes in semi-permanent brow makeup and is a certified Hydrafacialist.
In their personal lives, Crystal and Luis love spending time with their amazing children, Julius, 10 and Bella, 7. They enjoying hiking, shooting hoops, family puzzles and most importantly, pursuing spiritual goals .
